At Mosaicist Inc., we believe in the power of art to transform spaces and uplift spirits. We’re excited to share the story of our recent community project – a vibrant, butterfly-themed mosaic mural donation to G.W. Carver Elementary School in Coral Gables, Florida.
Our Commitment to the Community
As a company, we’re committed not only to crafting beautiful mosaic art installations but also to giving back to the community. Through our Founder Ray Corral’s donor-advised fund at the Coral Gables Community Foundation, we actively support the arts and contribute to making Coral Gables a vibrant, creative, and art-filled community. This stunning butterfly mural is our latest endeavor in this mission.
Bringing the Butterfly Mural to Life
Designing and creating the butterfly mural was an inspiring journey. Our team blended techniques from the Byzantine era with modern craftsmanship to give life to this mosaic masterpiece. It was a collaborative effort to create an artwork that would harmonize with the school’s architecture and instill a sense of joy and curiosity among the young learners.
As the design took shape, we imagined the delight and wonder it would bring to the students at G.W. Carver Elementary. The project’s excitement peaked during the installation, where we saw our vision turn into a beautiful, tangible reality.
Celebrating Art and Community
The grand unveiling of the mural was a heartwarming event. Students, educators, and key community figures, including Mayor Vince Lago, School Board Chair Mari Tere Rojas, and Principal Patricia Fairclough, all came together to celebrate this addition to their learning environment.
Witnessing the joy on the children’s faces as they saw the mural for the first time was an indescribable moment. We were reminded once again of why we do what we do. It’s not just about creating art; it’s about creating experiences and sparking joy.
Inspiring Future Generations
This project reinforces our belief that art has the power to inspire, educate, and foster a sense of community. We hope the butterfly mural inspires the young learners at G.W. Carver Elementary, sparking their imagination and encouraging them to explore their creative potential.
